Teaching Littles was started by two best friends, Marissa & Hillary, who wanted to share fun ways for parents to teach their little ones. Given our backgrounds as a pediatric occupational therapist and elementary school teacher, we have a lot of experience helping mold children’s minds.
We know how important it is to start teaching our children early on and that little ones learn best through play. So we found our little space on the web to provide you with our creative ideas that our children love!
We aim to share simple and inexpensive play activities for your babies and toddlers. We hope that we can help you find fun in playing with your children while you realize how much you’re truly helping them learn.
We’ve been friends since middle school and even though our lives have separated us across the state, we still maintain a close friendship.
We’ve followed similar paths as we went from being roommates in a small, city apartment to meeting our husbands and getting married within 4 months of each other. We found out we were pregnant at the same time and now have babies 3 weeks apart!
We both love being moms and of course, getting our babies together for cheesy photoshoots!
I am a pediatric occupational therapist turned stay-at-home mom of two little ones who are 14 months apart (Brielle, 2 and Brayden, 9 months). Our family lives at the Jersey shore and we love days spent at the beach, pool, or anywhere by the water!
I love getting to spend all these moments with my babies while they’re young, but being a stay-at-home mom has
When I don’t have my hands full of babies or blogging, I enjoy a glass (or 3) of wine, reality tv, and country music.
My other site, Just Simply Mom is a motherhood lifestyle blog, geared toward helping other moms find answers, tips, and tricks to the joys and challenges of pregnancy and childbirth through raising babies and toddlers.
I am an elementary school teacher and mom of one little girl (Layla, 11 months). Our family lives in central New Jersey and when we aren’t at work, we love to spend our time with friends and family and taking Layla on new adventures every week!
While I love my job as a teacher and spending every free minute watching my daughter grow, it’s been tough transitioning to life as a working mom. As I try to balance the needs of my career and my family, I’ve found that my passion for teaching covers all areas of my life.
When I’m not lesson planning or chasing after Layla, I enjoy drinking wine while watching reality television!
