Hot summer days plus busy toddlers is the perfect recipe to get outside and play. Water play is a great way to keep them cool and having fun! However, you don’t need a pool or water table to make water play fun.
Try this cheap and simple activity that takes very little set-up and uses a few toys and household items. It is essentially a sensory bin using water and toys- what kid wouldn’t love that?
What You Need:
- Plastic storage container/tub or large bowl
- Large serving spoon, scooper, and/or stacking cups
- Plastic toys of choice. We used a couple Mega Blocks and pouch tops
What To Do:
This water sensory bin activity is super simple to set up for your toddler!
Simply fill your plastic storage container or bowl with water and throw some plastic toys in. Add in some scoopable items like serving spoons, stacking cups, or small shovels to give them something to scoop with.
Have your child scoop and play as much as possible! They will have a great time scooping, splashing, and playing in their little water tub sensory bin.
